As the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve, the staff at Paws & Prairie Animal Clinic are committed to providing safe service for you and your pet(s). We are continuing to monitor situations closely and are following recommendations made by the Minnesota governing board of veterinarians, other professional organizations, and health professionals. At this time, we still feel the safest and most efficient option for our staff and clients is to continue curbside care. This is in part due to the amount of contact (proximity and time) between our staff and clients that is typical during normal appointments, as well as the sheer number of clients that are present in our hospital throughout the course of any given day.
We still ask the following of our clients:
- Reschedule if you are feeling ill, exhibiting any symptoms (cough, fever, shortness of breath), recently attended a large gathering, may have been exposed to COVID-19, or have recently traveled to an area with a high infection rate. Or contact a friend or family member to bring your pet in for the appointment.
- Please wear a mask when interacting with our staff, we treasure our employees and want to keep everyone safe.
- Call (218) 631-5826 when you arrive at the clinic for your pet’s appointment. A staff member will assist you from there starting with confirmation of the reason for the visit, your information and other details pertinent to your pet’s visit.
Alternative options:
- Visit our online pharmacy if you prefer to have medications for your pet delivered to your home. You can access our online store by visiting our website at: https://pawsnprairie.com/
- We still have curbside pickup available for prescription food and medications available.
- Telemedicine visits may be available in some circumstances for your pet if you are quarantined at home and feel your pet may need medical attention but you cannot physically bring them to the clinic.
- We hope that you and your pet(s) remain healthy through this time. Please know that we are committed to their care
